For the REAL LIFE AHEAD

GIVE NOW! SUMNER TEEN CENTER CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT.

Students who participate in after-school programs gain personal and social abilities with the attitudes needed to form positive identities and boost self-esteem.  They build skills  and learn how to navigate challenging situations, avoid negative behaviors, assume leadership roles, embrace diversity and establish healthy connections with others.

WHATEVER YOUR REASON FOR DONATING AND HOWEVER YOU CHOSE TO MAKE YOUR DONATION, WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

In 2018, it cost an average of $35/day per student to provide the services at Sumner Teen Center that we offer for FREE.

We have helped to grow confidence and acceptance in students who need it most

Little things that make a difference

A complete WISH LIST is available on Amazon

  • Funding

With our 501c3 Nonprofit Status in place, and growing at a steady pace, we are looking to expand into a 10,000 SF mulitpurpose building. We are now seeking contributions to help cover the expansion, operations and fixed expense associated with staffing, space & programs.

  • Office Supplies

STC needs mailing and stationary supplies including stamps, #10 white safety envelopes, printer ink cartriges for HP Photosmart c4650 and HP Officejet 8720.

   - Transportation

Our current 90 model 12 passenger van is costing more and more in maintenance and upkeep. Currently without air conditioning, more frequent mechanical break-downs, rust in the floor, tampered ignition, and loose steering, we are in need of a more reliable upgrade.  We expect demand to require either 2-3 mini-vans, or 2 large commercial passenger vans, as we transport students from area middle/high schools as well as a possible apartment complex expansion. Additionally we need additional funding for insurance, drivers, maintenance and gas donations.

  • Marketing tools and services

STC  is always in need growing support in communications and marketing to increase awareness throughout our communities, high schools and with funding partners, volunteers, investors and individual contributors.  Talented volunteers with skills and resources to assist are appreciate.  Additional support with printing, design, web and video production would be a great asset.

  • Program Supplies Art, music, STEM, and recreational tools can be found on our Amazon wishlist (link above).

  • Volunteers

The STC is currently seeking volunteer assistance with grant writing, program research, networking and outreach.

Passionate people who have a heart for teenagers to engage them in meaningful activities at the facility.

  • Computer / Technology

App and Web programming, design and maintenance skills are needed to create a new interactive media presence as well as provide tracking and reporting for incoming data on students and volunteers. Additional assistance is needed to set up a private server and add more security to protect data.

Computer donations are accepted, currently we are looking for, staff only, laptops and desktop for welcome desk (Win 10+ with Office, Intel Core, 16GB+ RAM).
